Sober Curiosity

Drink less, without living less

    Episode 6: Making Room

    1-min sober curiosity insight Jan 29, 2024

"I guess I will have to find a new spot to cuddle with the kitties.”

I sighed, watching the lady we met five minutes ago roll away my red round couch.

My husband placed his hand on my shoulder and let me mourn for a minute, and then he reminded me why we sold our big barrel chair.

“But think about all the new things we could do with the empty space.”

(He always knows when to pause and when to talk…)

You see, with a new year and all, we wanted to make room for some new things.

Like the puzzle table that has been sitting on my wish list for the past 10 months. Like a game station that he has been dreaming of having. Or maybe an extra-large cat tree for our three furry babies to jump up and down on.🐈🐈‍⬛🐈

I know letting go of alcohol is almost nothing like letting go of an old piece of furniture.

But there is one thing they have in common:

We choose to release what we like because we wish to make room for more in life.

    More space.

    More time.

    More energy.

    More money…

Since you are here, I see that you wish to have alcohol take up less space in your life…

    >>What is one thing that you hope to make room for?

Change your drinking pattern with knowledge, not willpower.
