Let’s underthink it
A little confession time: I have been overwhelmed.
Not just because all my belongings are scattered into three piles on my bedroom floor. (In case you missed it: I am moving to China next year for a new chapter.)
But also because Janauary is around the corner, and I want to make sure I have something fancy, flashy for those of you who are thinking of Dry Janauary.
But truth be told, I had a mini meltdown a few days ago, and ate a whole cart of vanilla ice cream trying to put together a 5-Day Dry Jan Challenge...
That was when I realized that some seasons are meant to be quieter, and sometimes underthinking is the way to go.
So I closed my Dry Jan Challenge document and typed out this email instead…
Let’s underthink it.
This December, I invite you to underthink your sobriety.
Instead of overwhelming yourself with the question of how to stay completely dry/quit forever, let’s ask:
How can I enjoy myself with less alcohol tonight/this weekend/this holiday season?
Jeanette
P.S. I also decided to understhink the January special inside the society, something different, and quieter is coming your way this next year if you’re looking to change your relationship with alcohol for the better in 2026. Stay tuned.
