Simple Guide to Upgrade Your Stress Mindset
Last week I shared with you my aha moment about realizing that the key to outgrowing a stress-drinking loop may not lie in reducing stress, but in changing the way you see and respond to stress.
Many of you wrote back and expressed interest in learning more—so this topic is definitely going into Sober Curiosity Lab 2.0, a year-long program that is currently taking shape behind the scenes. :)
In the meantime, I decided to put together a little guide over the weekend with a few things you can try out in your life today.
(You can download it at the bottom of this email.)
Before you grab it, I want to share a little about the idea behind the guide.
The quick exercises you will find inside are what scientists call “mindset interventions,” or what I call Mindset Upgrades.
A mindset is a core belief we hold about the world, ourselves, or our abilities. It acts as a filter through which we see everything. It influences how we think, feel, and act, and shapes how we interpret experiences and make decisions.
A limiting mindset can often hinder growth and keep us stuck in an unwanted drinking pattern, while a supportive mindset helps us tap into our strengths and grow beyond our struggles.
Unfortunately, the mainstream narratives about addiction and recovery often feed into mindsets that are limiting rather than supportive. The very beliefs we’ve been taught about what it means to struggle with addiction—and what it takes to grow beyond it—can sometimes become part of what keeps us stuck.
That’s why Mindset Upgrade is one of the core pillars in my 4-Pillar Sobriety System.
Now it’s your turn to try it out. You can download the free guide using the link below:
